It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the TRS Annual Meeting, which will be held from 11th to 12th April 2026, at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC). KEC is the premier multi-purpose venue in Taiwan, ideal for hybrid events. It will be a particular delight to welcome the members and presidents of our friendship societies from difference countries, which have joined us over the last few years.

“Targeted Care, Powered by Intervention Radiology” is this conference’s theme. Indeed, light will be shed on the advances in our subspeciality whilst we will enjoy a wonderful time in a wonderful city.

Very appropriately, Our Scientific Committee chaired by Prof Wing P. Chan has put in place an exciting and interactive scientific program both in interventional & diagnostic radiology.

I would like to particularly highlight that for AOSR and TRS have organized a session on the very important topic of AI on the future of Radiology; an area that will need our full attention in the coming years.

The holding of this event embodies the wisdom and sweat of everyone, and behind it is the dedication of countless colleagues day and night. We uphold the spirit of "co-creation, sharing, and co-prosperity" and look forward to promoting exchanges and cooperation, stimulating innovative thinking, and working together to meet future challenges through this platform.

In the coming time, we will arrange exciting agendas and exchange sessions, inviting elites from all walks of life to share valuable experiences and insights. I hope everyone can actively participate, learn from each other, and gain a lot. As the saying goes: "If you learn alone without friends, you will be lonely and ignorant." We believe that only by brainstorming can we spark more sparks and create infinite possibilities.

I am looking very much forward to meet you in the wonderful city of Kaohsiung for what I have no doubts will be a novel, exciting, and certainly very enjoyable meeting.

Radiology has rapidly evolved with new technologies and minimally invasive treatments, allowing us to move beyond reading images in dark rooms to actively engaging in patient care with clinicians, AI, and interventional radiology (IR).

This year’s programme focuses on ‘Interventional Radiology’, featuring local and international experts. Subspecialties will connect to this theme, including stereotactic biopsy and IR-guided therapies, and the meeting aligns with our ongoing educational initiatives to foster collaboration and share global expertise.

All ‘oral presentations’ will be held alongside expert sessions, giving junior presenters visibility and interaction opportunities, with awards for outstanding talks. The ‘film interpretation session’ emphasizes clinical relevance, linking imaging to patient care.

The ‘President’s Address’ and ‘Plenary Lecture’ will highlight IR’s evolving role and integration with clinical practice, reflecting our vision for a patient-centered, innovative future.
